What People Make with the Fabric I Sell – Marie’s Dolls

Marie Lechner from Luxembourg dresses vintage dolls from 1951 to 1985.  She collects  fabrics which are the closest possible to the original models, and has bought several pieces of viyella from my shop. Viyella  a blend of merino wool and cotton was first woven in England in the late 1800’s by William Hollins & Co and became  the first branded fabric in the world.

Marie has a friend who makes  the dolls clothes which are displayed and sold on her website  www.coutureetpoupees.fr

Marie is planning to start a  website with a friend, which will tell the story of the magazines that provided the models, and the story of the dolls (which were sold by the magazine).
